We visited the top websites and some obscure no-yet-known ones in order to find the most popular 10 modern wedding songs repeatedly featured in wedding websites around the internet. These songs were released post 2000, and are not covers of older tracks (well, except 1 – we couldn’t leave Adele out), and are originally produced and released during these recent years. For classic a full list of classic wedding songs, click here. So, without further adieu, here are the 10 top modern wedding songs of the internet:

10.  Marry Me - Train

The most amazing part of this song (according to fans) is at 2:14 “when you’re beautiful” and we have to agree, his voice sounds truly amazing! This song is from 2010 and Pat Mohanan leads the vocals here. According to Pat, the song was a short tune with only a verse and a chorus, however, due to the beautiful flow of this song, he decided to continue writing it and we are very grateful that he did!

9. Come Away with Me – Norah Jones

Some say that the best time to listen to this song during rainy day (try it and let us know!).  Norah Jones’ fantastic husky voice flows through this song like a beautiful instrument, and everything just seems to flow together in a beautiful melodic way.  This song is a mixture of soul, country, acoustic pop, blues, folk, and jazz.

8. Bruno Mars, Marry You

This song made headlines during an NBA Game when a cheerleader’s boyfriend proposed to her (Bulls vs Heat) here's that video . If you love this song, be sure to listen to the live version as we played during this wedding accompanied by an artificial snow-fall. There is not much to say about this song other than it’s one of the most beautiful wedding songs of our time. This song is often played during the cake cutting .

7. Shania Twain - Forever And For Always

This song makes a lot of people reminisce about childhood nostalgias, it easily takes you back in time when life was simple.  It’s hard not to sing along to this simple country-flavor song as Shania sings some of the most beautiful love-lyrics ever. Shania has said this is one of her favorite songs, adding ” there is something inspirational to her about people who start relationships when they are kids, and are still in love when they are older”.

6. Make You Feel My Love

This is a first-dance favorite, and it captures your attention from the very start as as the piano notes play. Adele intensifies the intro with her rounded and solid mid-range voice, which adds soulful coloring to every release she graces. Adele’s voice control is brilliant as she is able to switch back and forth from soft and airy to a fuller tone very quickly and with a lot of emotion.  A little known fact about this song is that it was written by Bob Dylan.

5. Beyoncé - Single Ladies

We had a difficult decision to make here, Beyonce has released so many wedding hits that it was virtually impossible to select just one, and not surprisingly other websites could not agree on the top Beyonce wedding song. We had to dig into our massive database of both, requested wedding songs and songs that we have played at weddings ourselves. We added the numbers and this was the winner. Love on top was a close second. This song is primarily used during the bouquet toss of the reception.

Kelly Rowland’s voice is on the chorus if you listen carefully. According to Kanye West this is the greatest video of all time, but amazingly, the video has 22,640 unlikes!

4. I'm Yours Jason Mraz

A karaoke favorite, this feel-good song will surely put you in a good mood. This is Jason Mraz’s first releas off his third studio album. In this remix version, Jason adds Jah Cure and Lil’ Wayne, while still maintaining the integrity of the fell to the song. This song is mostly used during the first dance.

3. Christina Perri - A Thousand Years

Another wedding first-dance favorite, this song has a peculiar mix of sadness and intense love, maybe that is why it was featured in Twilight. This song touches on the meaning of love, and talks about sacrificing all you have for him/her. Some versions of the song include the voices from Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson saying they love each other while attending a wedding, right before the bridge in the background (around 2:59 in this video).

2. Heartland ~ I loved her first

The father-daughter dance is one of the most emotional portions of a wedding, and this song’s lyrics are absolutely perfect for many fathers out there, in fact it is so perfect that many fathers cannot help but sob their hearts out while listening to it. We have seen many fathers cry like babies when sharing this dance with their daughters. It is a beautiful and moving song, and pretty much says it all. This song can also be shared with a father-figure in your life.

1. The Anthem featuring Lil Jon

Hands down, Pitbull is the #1 choice when it comes to modern weddings must-play list, at least for the north-east coast of the US where we perform. We were not surprised at all to find Mr. Worldwide aka Mr. 305 in almost all of the must play song lists on the web. Pit-bull is a DJs saviour – when in doubt, every Wedding DJ knows a Pit-Bull hit can help dig you out of any situation – . This song is the most requested amongst his many hits, other songs that came very close included Give Me EverythingPitbull - Bon, Bon and the Brazilian-flavor hit Michel Telo ft. Pitbull - Ai Se Eu Te Pego .
